Building an online presence for Southlands leading lime provider
Based in Southland, ABLime provide high quality lime and fertilizers to farmers across the South Island. When their website came up for review it quickly became apparent that it would be more efficient and cost-effective to start afresh, rather than re-working their existing site.
Our initial research confirmed that farmers have embraced mobile technology, so we proposed a fully responsive site to maximise ABLime’s impact in this sector. From here the primary objectives were set; to establish ABLime as industry thought leaders, provide customers with relevant information on soils, and build a community in the digital space.
Our challenge was to create a modern site that was at once both easy to use and a rich source of practical information.We opted for a clean design with a few illustrative elements, created a blog function and incorporated the science-based Soils Booklet (developed by ABLime in conjunction with Lincoln University). We also set about improving Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to drive traffic to the site, ultimately increasing customer inquiries.
